D&D News and Information for Dungeon Masters and Players

The Tomb of Horrors is a classic campaign. It was so good, they came out with a really tough Return to the Tomb of Horrors boxed set for 2E. I own it and it’s actually the center piece of the first big stage of my grand campaign.
Well, Wizards of the Coast has given us a special treat, because the module is now available for free as a download. Even better, it’s been converted to the current system. I haven’t checked it out to see if it’s been watered down at all, but this was Gary Gygax’s baby.
Nothing too heavy coming out. The Spell Compendium is a must buy for me, but none of the January releases really do anything for me. I’ve been flirting with picking up Eberron, but I still haven’t made the plunge.

You seem like you might be able to answer a question I have. Was there ever a D&D monster that was a piece of burnt toast? I am asking because I have featured him in one of the cartons my husband & I made. We like to make light of D&D absurdities. You can check it out if you are interested. http://wanderingmonster.com/index.html
Hope you can shed some light!
