Fiendish Codex I: Lords of the Abyss is my must buy book of the second quarter. I’ve picked up Spell Compendium
and Tome of Magic
over the past six months but it’s been a while since I’ve bought something that I was really excited about.
Wizards.com has recently posted the book’s table of contents. I’ve enjoyed the Nine Hells over the Layers of the Abyss, but that won’t stop me from picking this up.
Wizards.com recently put out their May previews. The more I look at Player’s Handbook II, the more i’m most likely going to pass. The one book I’m very interested in though is Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss. This is a must buy for me as it covers everything you need to know about Demons.
Even more interesting is the December release of Fiendish Codex II: Tyrants of the Nine Hells. The tail end of my campaign takes place in the Nine Hells, so this will be an invaluable supplement for me.
More then 20 years ago, I bought my first D&D module. That module was Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, probably the most unusual D&D module ever created. Now, 30 years after it’s release, Wizards.com is taking another look at this classic adventure.
